Was a fun time. I was there all day Saturday, great time. First time shooting the aerial targets, now I'm hooked. Spent half of Sunday looking on the internet at different ideas to shoot your own aerials. Lot's of great vendors if you were looking for anything.

A great time and everything at Compton went well this year. Thank you to the guys on the Board who put in all the hard work so we all could have so much fun. Great family event.

Yes, thank you Compton Board. I had a great time. I think you all did a wonderful job again this year! Bill

By the way did anyone mention it was HOT... LOL

We camped and the occasional trip to the AC cooled washroom was an appreciated escape.

Again, I do not think enough credit can be given to the board for all their hard work. As a member I left feeling like I should do more than just attend. Next year my membership will need renewal. I always do that at the rendezvous and I think while I am at it I will ask if they need any help. No reason the board should have to do all the work for us.

Sorry for 3 posts in a row but while on the Orange course at target 1 and 2 I saw a huge Black Rat Snake. It was easily 5' long. Did anyone else see him?

Had a great time. Sold a bow and bought a bow.

Talked quite a bit with Big Jim, good guy. I thanked him for giving me a Military discount on an internet sale, all he said was "you earned it".

Did someone say it was "HOT", I thought it was just me. It appeared everyone in attendance was having a great time. Thanks to all Compton members and Berrien Springs club members who worked so hard to put on another great "Trad-Bow" event.

Thanks for the pictures. I was thinking of going. Couldn't pull the trigger. I would like to go and experience it one of these days.

We were there on Saturday and had great time as usual. Could have just been us, but we thought in it appeared that attendance was up from last few years.

Just something about the rendezvous.

I love that event, but I've been unable to attend for the last couple years.

Next year I believe I'll drop everything to go.

I'll see if I can post my pics here in a smaller format.

Took the whole family and had a great time. Weather was on the hot side, but dodged the rain for the most part. The last time I went was 2012. Plan on making it a yearly event.

Great Pics and thanks for sharing those. "Drop everything and go".....I couldn't agree more! Now to just do it. Matthew

Seems that the heat or storms are always a factor at the rendezvous but no matter what mother nature throws at us it's still a NOT TO MISS shoot! I want to thank all of the volunteers from CTB and MLA who help w/ the kids shoot. It takes a lot of effort and commitment to the next generation of traditional archers.Hats off to you who share the true spirit of archery!

The Compton’s board certainly deserves a lot of credit for this but there’s another person who should also get credit and that’s Dan Jennings aka elknailer. Dans the guy who makes sure all the grounds and facilities are ready for this huge event. Last summer and into the fall Dan was splitting wood for the campfires. He made sure all the trails were maintained and wood chips put down. He coordinates the restrooms, tents, electric and many other things it takes to make this the success it is and all while keeping a full time job. I’m sure he’s planning next year right now.

Since Larry Janke's passing we have done this shoot by committee. Jay, Rick, Tom, The caretaker at bcsc jerry are all vital parts of pulling off the Compton rendezvous.
