I can get this arrow to shoot well with selfbows and recurves by just changing tip weight on bows from 40 to 50 lb draw weight.Seems to be a very versatile arrow. What are thoughts?

Same here. 30" draw for me. Works well with 145 tips in my 45# bows

Good for me cut to 28" in 53-60# bows...very tough shaft.

Same here. In fact , just yesterday I was shooting my BW PLX and then my RER Vortex. Both are 43# @ 28. The 2016's shoot good from either bow. The PLX bareshafts a 1916 better though. I shoot the 2016's with my 55# Tomahawk too. I draw 27" and use 175 grn tips.

Yep, I agree. With a range of point weights I can make a 2016 work for any of my bows from 40 to 55.

My thoughts are if you know how to tune, you can get most any arrow to fly out of a bow. I shoot .620 to .390 out of 50 pounds at 29 depending on what I'm hunting.

I shoot G.T. Entrada 600s at 3Ds and go to a 2016 for hunting.

have been very versital for me and my 47 to 50# bows

The 2016 is very versatile, and even for those of us who do know how to tune. Been using them since the 1960's, and if you do know how to tune...really, you can get them to work off a wide range of bow weights/draw lengths.

2016 and 2117 , what one wouldn't do the other will, never needed any others

I asked this question ,because just this morning i finished up a sinew backed locust bow.62 long 45 lb. at 26 inch draw.So i shot it with different arrows. The one that shot the very best was a 28 inch 2016 with 175 head and was hitting the target 15 yds like a sledge hammer. It weighed 500 grs. Will make a good hunting combo for my 15 yd. max hunting distance. For the heck of it i will chrony it today sometime. Thanks

Great arrows for sure. I have some cut to 29 inch bop legacies and autumn orange I’d sell if any one is interested.

Ok guys update I just cronied the 45 lb. at 26 inch draw sinew backed black locust bow 62 inch long. It shot a 400 carbon ics arrow at 450 grs.at 147 fps average. It shot the 500 gr 2016 arrow at 138 fps average. Which arrow would you take hunting, remember my max range is 15 yds. I know which one i will be using, just wanted to know what you guys have to say.

I just bought 8 dozen gor next to nothing. Hard to beat them off some #50 bows.

If you think the 2016 works well try some 1820's.

Smaller diameter and tougher.

I've not had good luck with the genesis nocks, wish they made a nock with a wider throat diameter.
