The same TAS rules apply to all of the events. Last weekend was the Trad Bowhunter World Championship. The shoot in July is the Great Lakes Trad Bowhunter Championship.

In 2019, the South East Trad Bowhunter Championship will be added to the schedule.

Are you shooting longbow or recurve?

The same weekend as ETAR! We have shot at farmland a lot over the years and enjoyed it. However, no shoot out there even comes close to the courses, people, etc that ETAR has. I mean the Tennessee Classic is close, and the course at Cloverdale is close. But, they just aren't to the scale of ETAR. Since our interest in competitive shooting waned years ago, we will sadly miss this one. Just not enough weekends to go around.

The Great Lakes Bowhunter Championship is a competitive event for those that want to compete and those that want to have fun can do unlimited shooting.

I'm just curious about the use of the term "world championship" that seems to be used fairly often by different organizations. I wonder how many shooters from other countries ever compete. Same with the term "nationals".

Our TAS membership has grown worldwide over the past 5 years we’ve had archers and Bowhunters join TAS from all the countries listed below and everyone is invited to our events.

Suzanne St. Charles told me on a phone conversation about 5 years ago to follow dream. Her dad Glenn St. Charles followed his dream of promoting traditional archery, and only 5 members showed up to his first meeting.

BTW, I love your collection of Bear and Hill longbows.

Darren, thanks so much for that information. WOW! That's a lot of countries to be part of our TAS family. I had no idea that TAS had become so widespread since its beginning. It would be good to post a thread on TAS about the international make-up of TAS. Thanks for your kind comments about my bows.

We are in W.V. at the I.B.O. World. Will head home Monday, repack, hook up the camper, and head there Wednesday.

Awesome weekend at the T.A.S. Great Lakes Trad Bowhunter Championship!

There was a lot of amazing shooters this weekend but I believe Tony Allen had the best overall weekend.

Shooting a Black Widow PMA, Tony won the Ultimate Traditional Championship where he was shooting against all class bows and Tony won the Stump-Shoot Championship as well as the Men’s Longbow Individual class at the T.A.S. Great Lakes Trad Championship.

There was a lot of amazing shooters this weekend but I believe Tony Allen had the best overall weekend.

Shooting a Black Widow PMA, Tony won the Ultimate Traditional Championship where he was shooting against all class bows and Tony won the Stump-Shoot Championship as well as the Men’s Longbow Individual class at the T.A.S. Great Lakes Trad Championship.

Brian Baker a seasoned shooter enters the T.A.S. Great Lakes Trad Bowhunter Championship with a new CD riser, qualified for the top 12 Shoot-off and scores a 184 on the Championship round winning the Open Class!!!

I want to congratulate all the shooters and the champions of each class!

Shakayla Erwin and Judy Branham both won their division at the Great Lakes Tradititional Bowhunter Regional Championship yesterday! Shakayla won Girls Cub Recurve and Judy won Women’s Selfbow ??

Ken Reinas and Tim Johnson teamed up together for the Male Ultimate Bowhunter Championship and Won!

Great shoot for sure. And shout out to Tim and Ken for their willingness to help and share shooting pointers. I believe I'd be down a quiver full of arrows at the coon shoot if Tim hadnt given me some coaching.

Nice shoot! Hated to only been able to shoot on Saturday, but that's life.
