I'm thinking about trying some .700 carbons. I like & shoot big Jim's gt trad blems .600 but their not offered in .700 not looking for arrow tuneing advice just a comparably priced .700 Shaft. Also what carbon express # is equal to .700 spine. Thanks

Budget arrows? Fleetwood 700 from 3riversarchery ( https://www.3riversarchery.com/fleetwood-carbon-arrows.html )

Hard to find feather fletched and 6 / pack arrows for $36. I am using 350 and 400 and I have no complains - they are as durable as CE Predator or GT traditional I have.

Another vote for the GT, warrior 700. I have made my girlfriend about a dozen, they seem to hold up well.

Predators over warriors any day. Warriors aren't even guaranteed straightness or weight, they're the culls from the already questionable hunters.

If the warriors or GT's are inferior culls someone forgot to tell mine. They fly with the rest and have been durable so far.Maybe I just can't shoot well enough to tell the difference.Who knows? >>>----> Ken

Another vote for Gold Tip Warrior. Been using the 600s out of my 40# and I see no inferiority to other shafts. About $5 a bare shaft at Lancaster and I can fletch my own. God and Christ Bless

Ill take warriors over predators. I shoot an average 0f 31#( between all my setups). My reason for choosing the warrior is the low gpi. The 5.4 gpi on the 700 warrior helps me reach out and touch the target. And i shoot 30-40 yards with ease. I havent tried the warrior out stumping yet, as im in the middle of moving. But its in the near future. Big jim let me try predator 700 and 800 @ the tradfest and my bow wasnt having it. Im shooting (avg) 31lb longbow and recurve ilf setups off the shelf. Full length shaft,75-125 grain tips(depending which rig i grab), wraps, low pro 3" bananna cut feathers and pin nocks. My recent arrow trials have been 1616,1716, easton vector, gt trad, easton ion 600, fleetwood 600, cx predator 2040,3050,700 and 800 and most recently the warrior 700. Of all those just mentioned my favorites are the easton vector and warrior 700. Im not just a target puncher, or i woulda stayed with the easton vector- these arrows are hard to beat in my household. But i need something for stumping and/or hunting and the warrior shafts fit that bill.

Also to answer your 2nd question timex, cx predator 700. But i will warn you, you have to either shoot nibbs or use an outsert for screw in points...and those are NOT cheap.

The predator 700's are worthless as they are far too heavy for the spine. The 800's are a good shaft for the 35lb crew on down.

The biggest advantage in the predators over the gold tips and others is their smaller diameter moving them closer to center.

Yes, to change points you have to use outserts, but they are exactly the same size as the shaft and you can barely tell they are there. Yes, they cost a little more, but what's a few bucks if they fly much better.

Brian Waters, I would bet that if you took some more time to work with them, you would find that the predators are a better solution. But then I don't know your exact set up.

If you are looking for strictly a target arrow for low poundage, the Easton inspires are an outstanding arrow.

It is however difficult to convince any archer of anything if they have bee shooting more than 2 years. BigJim
