I have always liked the mass weight of a 3pc longbow. And yet, over the years have only had a few. Don't have much access to the internet to research. Soooo, show me your fave 3 pc longbow. I couldn't get a new one till next year. But that just gives me time to think. Lol I prefer a longer longbow, 64" being the shortest I would even look into. Prefer 66" though. So show me what's out there, and tell me why u like it.

I don't have a picture but check out Leon Stewart's 3-piece Slammer longbow. With diamondwood it has good mass weight. Center cut riser, aggressive reflex in the limbs, quick, quiet and THE most dead in the hand bow I have ever shot.

Those are some beautiful bows stringmaker. Love that blacktail. And the wagstaff is great looking also.
K Cummings, is that a tradtech?
Wallace, love that bow. I wish he made one longer than a 62" love that design. Thanks guys. Really appreciate what I have seen so far.
Joe, I will look into the Leon Stewart aswell.

I traded my backup bow for this Michigan made Journeyman 3-piece longbow. It is a very nice shooting bow that came with 4 sets of limbs (43,45,47&49#s). From what I understand, the Bowyer is taking a few years off to spend more time with his family. I'm very happy with the bow and shoot it quite often. As I continue to age, those lighter limbs will come in handy.

Some great looking bows. I have always loved the smooth look of a pronghorn. Anyone know how long herb will build a 3 pc, up to 66" maybe? I didn't see it anywhere on his site. And I am surprised to see how many bowyers don't mention bownlengths any more in their descriptions. And since when did clear glass start being an extra up charge? Lol

I'm with bushy tail, I would like to see some halfbreeds. These are some great bows, a few of them I have tried. Several years ago I shot a g.w.flanagan my buddy Roy Williams (mudd) had, I do remember it was a nice shooting bow. I have shot one pronghorn. But hard for me to gauge if I liked it, because it was 20 lbs too heavy. Lol (it was a buddies). Shot some A&h bows about 14 years ago, and remember I was really impressed. Always wanted one. Just hard for me to shell out that kinda money. I have been looking into the intrepid model Wagstaff archery makes. Looks like a nice bow. Anyone ever shot one? Also seriously considering a halfbreed, just not a fan of 60" or 62" bows. I have an email sent to him asking if he will build longer. Just afraid "his" bow is most efficient at the lengths he advertises them in. So any info on that would be great too. Thanks again guys.

The thunderhorn I posted a pic of is a real great shooter but to this day the single best shooting 3 pc longbow I've ever shot was a Jim Jones Firefly. It's funny because my two brothers shoot Trad with me and all the bows that come through the stable have comparisons that start with "compared to the Firefly it's...?"

Crooked Stic 3 pc 51@28, for some reason the woods name escapes me at the moment but its a heavy dense wood which gives the bow just the right amount of weight to hold steady. Great shooting bow with good speed and very quiet. Black glass front/back on limbs with red/white glass overlays on riser/limb tips.
