Does anyone out there have any time behind one of these cresters? They look to be very well made. I made a crester out of an old sewing machine motor but I am unable to get the results im looking for.

Top quality. I bought one a few years ago at kzoo. Check out DM custom arrows.Gary uses them on his super fancy arrows if that helps.

Top shelf Crestor. You won't find a better Crestor or better people to deal with.

I have not used one, but they sure do look first class! They address the issue of warped cedar shafts, which are difficult to crest!

I have had a Spinright and a Phillips crestor , I sold the spinright and kept the Phillips , much easier to use IMHO. Check out the Phillips.

I use a spinrite very good. made my arrows first rate.

I miss my Phillips, maybe because I had it so long I was used to it. Traded it in on a Spinright, and I am not as comfortable as I was with my Phillips.

Any pics of the Phillips?

Never used a spin rite, but I have a Phillips- I like it, I guess. But I would let it ride if I had an offer. I don't do a great deal of cresting.

Crested tons of arrows with mine. Used it for years.

I had a home-made one and then got a Spinrite. Made a world of difference, but the secret is still "a straight arrow" for nice lines.

I have both. I use the Spinrite 99% of the time. The Phillips depends on “O” rings to do as advertised. After awhile they stretch and the shafts don’t turn. It took me some searching to find replacements. Can’t recall who I bought it from but no parts. That may have changed over the years. I know Bob Burton swears by that Crestor. I have my Spinrite for a number of years as well. Customer service is outstanding. Parts, belts no issue. I also use mine to turn shafts while spraying the cap. Both work well for wood shafts.

Spinrite is great and the customer service from Dan is the best you will ever see.

Very good, bought a uses one 5 years ago, still going strong.

I have used both. They are both fine machines. I have only used the Spinrite since the r and d days. That first moment when you lay a liner brush loaded with paint on the spinning shaft and see that fine tight line of paint transfer to the shaft is, it's just cool.

The secret to great cresting is a straight shaft but the Spinrite is a great machine for sure.
