I had second thoughts and thought I'd take some heat for posting a picture of a bow sight on the Leatherwall. I'm glad there is some interest.

A lot more 'trad' than portable tree stands or commercial blinds. I have a couple so don't include me.

I have several too and used them for many years back in the late 1960’s/1970’s. They came in four lengths if my memory still works, 3”, 5”, 7”, and 9”. What length is yours?

FYI, this was Jack Howard’s favorite bow sight and he discussed in length in his Bowhunters Catalog how to set one up and use it for hunting. The vast majority of animals he killed were with this brand of bow sight.

Why are there no manufacturers making sights like these today? They could sell a lot of them.

From: George D. Stout Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 14-Mar-18

Today's sight manufacturers are into compound bows...80%+ of the business, so there is no reason for them to make pin sights for recurves. And of course, the trad elitist prima donnas would pooh-pooh it to all within eye-shot of traddom social media. Lucky for those of use who are interested, there is still plenty of used ones, and some never used ones showing up over on Ebay fairly regularly.

I've been playing around with a sight on a 66" R/D longbow...and I see why nobody uses them, they're just too deadly, takes all the challenge out of the aiming process.

I'm getting bids on remaufactring it. I don't want to do it, though. If I did it, it would be to help others as I don't want the hassle of any archery business. I'm also getting bids on making some othe things that would benefit trad. archers.

Why me? Pls. someone else...

Not in. Good job Grey Goose. Just a tip for the person that wins it. Tape it on your bow don't screw it to your bow.

From: fdp
Date: 16-Mar-18

David....just curious, but why do you regularly come on threads like this and imply that you have considered having something manufactured, but don't want to?

Your release mechanism. the stabilizer, this bow site,....

Jon Stewart is right. I have also used doudle sided tape, and believe it or not velcro.
