Today's shot will be a little different... stand facing the target at 16 yards (toes pointing at the target) and make your shot.

God Bless,

Morning. Tough shot for me. Totally messed up my form. I had to shoot the bow in a vertical position which I'm not use to.

Shot as called. Arrow went low and to the right. :(

Gee whiz folks my arrow went left, totally messed me up and I thought I had it figured out...LOL!

Good luck to the rest, don't feel bad Frank that was a weird feeling, I should have shot from the waist.

Bow Hickory, one of my two favorite longbows.

Arrow Surewood Douglas fir

Oh dear Lord, I can feel the pain in my back just thinking of it.

I need more coffee!

Good call CD. You made us think a bit more than usual. I did a couple of practice draws while twisting my torso and leaving my feet planted towards the target just to make sure I wasn't going to hurt myself! Then I took the shot using my Freeman longbow and a POC arrow. Got to full draw but just shaved some hairs. This stance really changed my dymanics. I hope that you all have a nice day. Lance

Good call. This shot favors the flexible! :)

So, first shot I've taken in nearly two weeks since burning my hand. Pain caught up at about 2/3 draw and my brain said "get rid of it". The arrow turned out was missing a fletch to boot. LOL

The turkey got a walk.

Thanks for the call.

Well that was awkward, but fun. This is my 2nd shot, my first shot hit a good foot lower and bounced off the wood frame that my bales are sitting on ??. Shooting the Indian Seneca today.

That was a little different. Thanks. Bit of a challenge to get a tight group that way.

Considering the WEIRD FORM, everybody is doing right well! Might need to practice this one? Never can tell when Yuh might need it!

This is one of those days when I’m glad it’s first SHOT and not first Group...

FS was the red/yellow fletched 1916, which is the correct spine for this bow... right where I was looking here in the “vitals” (8” X 10”); the rest weren’t great, but acceptable for anything with hooves, I suppose...

For the FS, I just pivoted at the hips so that the shot was nothing out of the ordinary... it was when I started trying to do something different that I started falling apart some...

Rain, snow, and heavy wind here so went to basement fs on top standing toward target. thought I better turn back to my normal stance for 2nd shot lol.Oh yeah I can only get 12yds in basement...good shooting everyone and y'all have a goodun...

Took a few more to confirm that pivoting at the hip is the right choice for me in this scenario.... Sent 2 down the middle before I ripped one high and dropped the next one low, but at least I was on the line...

Good challenge (I especially appreciate the ones that I can take as called for range!)

Shot as called. Way left and high. :^( Used my 51# Yellowstone Hunter with Herritage 150s. It's a cold 22° and breezy day. It was going right through me today. Only shot about 6 or 7 more arrows and went home. Nice Call! It was a little difficult.

From: Longcruise
Date: 08-Mar-18

Very difficult! I think the standing 180 and rotating to shoot behind is easier than this. It's going to happen to somebody this coming season. LOL

That was a first for me. It wasn’t as hard as the other twister you call though. Thanks CD. Have a great evening everyone.

Grizz, I think we need something a little stronger than coffee.

You're probably right Ron. But I'll have to settle for the coffee. :-)
