Did walkup as requested, Didn't do real great, remember folks we do have those bad days. No hunting for me today I will stay home and work in the garden....Ha!Ha! Thanks Chad for the call.

Bow Rawhide backed hickory longbow made from a stave.

Arrows Surewood Douglas Fir crested, fletched, and tuned by me.

I'm making my feather burner now and really getting into making as much as possible, really having fun, I think I will start knapping my own broad heads, I knapp flint for my longrifles so I have a little idea of what not to do.

Late start today, thanks CD, shot as called, beautiful day by the way, 45* and sunny for a change! Strung up my new to me Browning Cobra II, and amazingly did well! But the bow says 45X, after shooting put it on the scale and 55# on my scale, no wonder I shot well, close to my other bow's lb'age. My shadow is holding the bow, hehehe! Y'all have a great day and take care!

I don’t really have enough yard to do the walk-up, but I went out just before dark to simulate the conditions of a shot that I had while out deer hunting some years ago… Heavy snow, failing light… Great recovery conditions as long as you don’t have to give it overnight. In other words, get it right or pay dearly....

These were from my usual 17 yards. FS (complete honesty is good for ya!) missed the Block entirely to the right. Just wasn’t focusing. Like to think that such a thing would never happen under the influence of a shot of adrenaline...

Otherwise, nothing more than 2 1/2” off the dot. But that first one was just... wild.

Being bored....against my better judgement ( and my blood pressure) I DID get my range shoveled out...AGAIN! Unfortunatly that was the extent of my energy level for today. And my left elbow and shoulder is killing me! Good shooting today guys! Hope it warms back up and the snow stays away!
