I am late to the dance this year, and was entertaining the thought of the Fall Black Widow Bow affiliated hunt in Maine. I am sure that it is a good outfitter as BW is a class act. I would do a little research here but frankly the SEARCH function repeatedly gives me everything BUT what I ask it.
I can of course call BW and the outfitter and start my "due diligence" tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone here has gone on this hunt and/or can provide some useful information. If you would like to PM me that is always fine.
Thanks

Tony and Lynn at Squapan Mountain Outfitters run a first class operation. Their guides are top notch as well as the lodging and food. The hunters they have in camp are all a great bunch of folks and their camp is family orientated. The Widow Boys are a blast and Lobster night is the best. No one eats Lobster like Toby. I have gone and will be going again as the bear hunting is great. You can either call Roger at Black Widow for more info or you can reach Tony at 207-540-4248. Give them a try, I think you will enjoy it. Below is a bear that I harvested at Squapan Mountain Outfitters. Best of luck.......Uncle Jim

I’ve been speaking with the outfitters since I sent my deposit in and they are really a cool group. You know with some outfits you get that gut feeling it’s not going to be a good time or they are only in it for the money. I have never gotten that feeling they even offer to pick you up from the airport for no charge which is huge. Tony actually gives a rip and sends you a questionnaire to see how he can better your hunt. Hope to see you guys around a campfire me and my hunting buddy are heading up there this fall! Can’t wait
