Mike, I really enjoyed the video! Looks like you are living your dream life and I like the fact that your kids are doing it with you. The catching is the "exciting" part when you get home the skinning and stretching "work" begins!

Amen brother, the kids are getting pretty good with a knife.

That's good Mike that you're including your kids.

This picture is of my son and I back in the early 70's when I took him with me on the trap line. We didn't have video camera's back then....or cell phones.

Good video Mike.

Here is a picture of me and my Dad in 1973 with my first archery ( recurve ) buck kill. Good memories...

Nice video Mike, thanks for posting. It's been thirty years since I last trapped. Sure is a lot harder than what you made it look...

Ya Mike, fur prices were low in 1970 but started to climb and near the end of the 70's a big coon in the round brought $50.00 from the local fur buyer.. When one got hit on the road someone stopped and grabbed it before it quit rollin. :)

I forget what beaver rats and mink were bringing but it was a heafty price. My last batch of 30 red fox brought close to $100.00 each at the fur auction. I sold off my culls to a local buyer before I went to the auction because buyers wouldn't pay a good price unless they were all #1 prime

I haven't trapped in years but I still have my traps...never know when I might need em. :)

This picture was when I was trapping Martin in the mountains

I was 9 years old when Dad taught me how to "burn ice".... Impressed me beyond words, will never forget it..
