My daughter and son-in-law came down today and he helped me get the new wallboard up. It sure feels good to get it started. I'll be using T&G on the ceiling, firing out the attic access, making some new racks and I think I'll hang a kids hammock end to end to hold the bows that I have in bow socks. I know it's not much now but thanks for looking. Lance

Anything About archery, stuff like a bow closet, or a rack is fun to see or talk about. Nice pic.

You could also put a couple of closet poles way up high, about 4 feet apart, and rack bows across overhead on them.

It's already got a bow in it! CONGRATS!

Good idea, Kerry. Thanks, Lance

That will be nice when it's done.

Thats a great idea! I never thought of using a hammock before. The hardest part of any project is getting started, you got it made now. Dave

I would use that back narrow wall for arrows, and the side walls for bows. The again, maybe the back wall would be shelves, or an old +chest of drawers for accessories, and bows and arrows on the side walls.

But then again....the potential is almost endless.

Nice facilities, Lance. A guy needs a fine garage to park fine vehicles in.

Nice but, it looks like you should have made it bigger! LOL

From: Nemah
Date: 09-Feb-18

Nice work! Why don't you make some simple racks to display more bows on the ceiling? RKK

Looking good Lance. Bring a few with you in July. Not all of them though cause you'll need room to haul some more back with you. ). I have a few in my little upstairs room along with some prints. When I want to write, the ambiance in that room is very positive and relaxing. Love it bud.

A bow closet has a proper name ....no seriously ... it's called an Ascham as in Roger Ascham. The trend here in the UK is to buy an old 19th century mahogany wardrobe send it to cabinet maker and get them to convert the inside for bows arrows and strings

The first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem:)

From: Mountain Man

Thats very nice but you don't want to store a bow on the ground ever like this good way to twist a limb its just word to wise.

From: Lowcountry

Pretty cool Knifeguy - but I don't think you built a big enough closet.

From: fdp

New goal... have arrows setup for each bow. Also a sweet closet to hide new bows in! Looks great!

From: Kwikdraw

Great job Lance, now when it's time to hunt, you can walk in, close your eyes, spin a few times, grab a bow, and go huntin! I like it!

From: cobra
