Lucked into a little glass bow that appears to need a shelf replacement before I ship it off to my niece & nephew...
How would you replace this?

Cork, or wood, maybe? Kinda hate to remove the Period-Correct grip-tape, but....
Hmmmmm..... maybe I should convert it to a dual-shelf while I’m at it? Guess they only need to be a skosh wider than an arrow...
Of course, to come up with a cork, I might have to go and open a bottle o’ wine... ;)

Open two bottles. It may take some playing around to get it right, and of course it should be dual shelf.

Good ideas above. I'll always have a soft spot for those old glass bows. I grew up shooting them and now my grand kids are having a ball with them. Nice of you to think of your niece and nephew, GF.

I picked up a 54 inch 55 lb. Shakespear Brushmaster Para bow the other day. Kinda neat. Need to work up a string for it.

Take some stiff plastic, bend it into an L,the slide the longer end of the L under the grip covering. It can be switched from left to right. Some of the old Bears had a rest like that.

Great thought, Nolz! Maybe one for each side?
Though Dan’s solution does have its merits... especially since tomorrow’s my birthday. LOL
I’ll see what I can come up with....
