I know that they sell hats and t-shirts, I have some older decals and patches laying around somewhere. Dan, you need to check out the PBS new website, it might be on there, in the store page,, i'm a associate member also.. chris

I am quite sure that suggestions will always be entertained, even if not put into effect. PBS is a club, and made up of its members. It is not a large club in reality, although one would wish that more people would understand the value of belonging.

I have been an associate member for many years, and have recently gotten more involved here and there with little things. Everyone of the Regulars that I have been in contact with was very nice to me and appreciative of any effort made towards contributing to the organization. Lethargy and lack of interest and participation is what will kill it in the end, not caring and making suggestions

Send someone on the Exec board an email...and see what happens

if you want to talk to someone, ask for norm Johnson, yes the one from blacktail bows. He is the president of the PBS.

Whats the difference between and associate member and a regular member?

From: Phil Magistro
Date: 11-Dec-17

They used to sell Associate patches. I was a member for over 20 years but haven't been recently.

Jon, the difference is that all new members start as Associates. Then there is a process and a time frame where you can apply to become a Regular member. If they haven't changed the process you will need to have a sponsor and complete an extensive application that will document your experience and mindset. While anyone can become an Associate member it takes a dedicated, experienced bowhunter to become a Regular member.

Jon an associate member is one who doesn't have a vote. Ur sort of a trial member till they can get to know you and you them. Then if you choose you can get a sponser and apply for regular membership.

Dan, I think the patches only come in the one color pattern, at least it's the only colors I've seen.

Dan: Been a life member since they started the program, and have never seen any other color patches than what is usual. You do realize that deer are color blind don't you, the most colorful patch will appear in shades of grey to them? If I bow hunt during rifle season, which I do, I have to wear 800sq. inches of flo orange and that doesn't seem to bother them.

Agree with what aromakr said. Life member as well. If enough Associate members express an interest in a camo associate member patch I am sure the council will consider. Keep in mind that patches are pretty expensive to make if you only need a limited number prepared.

When I joined almost 20 years ago PBS included an associate patch in my membership packet. Unfortunately it's been lost for a while. But the PBS associate member sticker is riding on the lid of my large toolbox.

Membership is so low I don't see patches being made. I'd guess the order would have to be X number of patches to make it a realistic venture. More than there are members I'd bet.

membership is around 1100 members with almost 120 new members from the first of the year till august.

When I had an associate patch on a hunting shirt I just took some camo paste and smeared it on the patch.

There may only be 1100 members, but being a member and getting to meet and hunt with people exactly like us (very rare to find people with same LEVEL and interest) is priceless. Going on PBS member hunts is like getting guided hunts for free!

Dan, get yourself a few magic markers. They work wonders on the Assoc. patch. Always liked the looks of that patch. Shick
