I found this in the bottom of an old Tamerlane case. Any idea what it is, or even if it's archery related? I know I don't. Thanks, Lance.

Does it slide onto your belt so you can hang your bow off of the hook?

Is that a belt hook I see? Might be a pad for applying talc to a shooting tab.

Here's another photo, and it is the same on both sides. Lance

On a lighter note; my late wife would have just called it a "dinger" and classified it thusly! Lance.

I would say its a string keeper. So you could take the string off the bow, wrap it up and put in the holder.

An elephino.

Kind of looks like the side plate from a Bear Mag Riser, does the Tamerlane have the cutout for the internal sight?

It is a stick-on bracket for a sight mount.

Is it one piece....or two stuck together? Looks like a cigarette holder. Saw those in use in the old target shooting days.

From: Knifeguy

SB, You're right, it was two stuck together. I'm not sure about the cigarette angle though. I'll keep looking, but so far no luck looking on google. That's why I posted it. Lance.

One each stick-on mount for top and bottom of sight bar which was attached to the stick-on bracket with a machine screw.

Never seen a sight mount like that....but it sure would have saved a lot of nice bows from ugly screw holes!

Raghorn. Thanks, I did find a couple of small screws in the bag too but had no idea they were for such a use. Mystery solved. Lance.

I am usually able to tell what unusual stuff is, but I would never have gotten this one.

I think the leather parts wrap around the riser horizontaly, not vertical as you show.

Similar to to Saunders AB Sight attachment bracket. SB is correct on the way it attaches to the bow. They sold for $1.50 back in the day. Not sure who made the one you posted.

Yep, horizontal is the way I had mine on in the early 70's.

Thanks to all. It will make a nice display, after I rotate them to the correct position! Lance

The mount are a light weight flexible metal with adhesive backing and they do mount as SB stated.

That's not archery gear, it's a portable sky hook. They're at H Depot between the round squares and board stretchers.
