What do you think the odds are of them evading the orange army? Hope you get a crack at one in the late season.

Phil that is a good question. I know the bigger deer was around last year I got him on cam working a scrape so hopefully he is able to evade the rifle hunters. Time will tell! I would sure love ke to get a crack at him.

Those are some great photos! That first buck really knows how to pose for the camera,he gave you a front and side shot. I love the pine trees in the back, really nice.Good luck

That first buck in the second pic really looks angry, like he is looking at another buck?

Not certain what they are looking at. The second buck has a torn up ear and a busted tine. I have a picture of him in July and that tine wasn't busted. I think the first buck has a busted tine as well.

Thanks Steve I hope they make it through and I'm lucky enough to see one of them.

You can if you don't mind wearing 250 square inches of florescent orange.

Real nice pictures there Homey. Fortunately we are still bow hunting them here in 2b. Actually trying to talk myself into a couple hour sit in this rain this morning...I'm still getting good bucks in daylight on my cams.

I find that those older bucks that are able to elude us all through archery are even better at it during the firearm season. Most of the rut is finished up by then and they go back to their nocturnal ways. Unless someone steps on them they sit extremely tight. I watched one giant spend nearly a week in a couple hundred square yards in a housing plan during the first week of gun season.

I hope they are still there for you in the spring!

Homey, they don't stay stupid for long and when the rut slows down they'll disappear. Hope you gets crack at one.

Thanks guys. I hope they make it through the season as well! I’ll have to post pics of the second buck from last year and this past July.
