I just bought a 1983 56" Black Widow HF500 52@28" This thing shoots awesome. Any suggestions on covering the handle. I was thinking of dipping it in liquid rubber. But before I do I thought I would ask. If you have any other information on these bows I would appreciate knowing. I called BW and they said they were made 83-84-85 Thank you

Most folks used them as they were, or just sprayed them for hunting. No need to cover handle unless it's bothering you for some reason. If it's the cold grip, you can use a rubber/latex type undercoat spray, or just wrap it with leather or bicycle tube...or other like tennis racket wrap. It's just the short version of a Wilson HF (Hunter/Field) 1200. Awesome bows the way they are.

I shoot an old HF1200 and I put leather on it several years ago to keep my hand from getting cold. It helped quite a bit.

Not that familiar with that model but I have a few Widows. How about that rubber inner tube type sleeve that rolls onto the riser?

I had a Widow a long time ago that had one on it. I took it off but it would seem to do what your looking at.

3rivers and BW sell them.

I have put the rubber grips that Widow sells on both HF500, and HF1225. They can be stretched and rolled over the riser, just like on a MA or any of the models!! I put a piece of 1/4 in nylon rope under the grip to help pull it over!! I believe Ken Beck had a video showing it? I seen it somewhere not sure if it was Widow.
