Hey Guys, my Bear takedown has developed a creaking sound sometimes when drawn. Any ideas as to why ? Black maple 52@28" 58" It's driving me crazy. Checked all screws and put some wax in limb pockets. Sounds like it may be coming from limb ?

Thanks

A common issue with Bear TD’s. I use string wax in the limb sockets that works. My othe fix is a very thin piece of foam the kind used for packing dishes when moving.

Mine has not done it yet, but I hear wax on the locator pin does the trick.

When I bought mine (used), it already had mole skin under the limbs, so I left it. I got curious one day and removed the mole skin to see if there was a difference. Boy was there a difference! Every time I drew it back it squeaked. So, the mole skin went back on and all noise quit. Needless to say the mole skin stays and my curiosity is over. Hope this helps. Lance.

I agree with knife guy. I tried the wax treatment but the cure was short lived.

There not all plug and play. Some thin material helps as far as the string wax that just makes a mess and could stiffen in cold weather imo. Doesn't hurt to put a little silicone grease on the alinement screw head. My Mag risers dont seem to be fussy. Rooty
