What is the low end tolerance limit for ILF limbs, at which they can be shot nearly forever without harm. So on a compound it would be 5 grains, maybe 4 grains, haven't really looked in 20 years. I should know the ILF recurve number, even though I doubt I will ever use it. Bugs me not knowing. All I could find where folks saying they shot olympic at 8 grains, which seemed high to me.

I.L.F. limbs aren't any different from any other 3 piece limbs. They just have a different attachment. It would depend on the weight of the bow.

Depends on who you talk to. It's 6 for me.

Looks like were all over the board already LOL. Clydebow is right the ILF just uses different hardware to put it together so I would think what ever the accepted standard for trad equipment is would work on solid built limbs.

Some ILF limbs are not laminated. The new Uukhas are compressed solid materials. Some are 100% carbon. They are warrantied not to de-laminate.

Thanks guys, I thought 7-8 was a little conservative, but when I looked up arrow weights for my arrows, in everything from aviators to x-10, they were in the 7-8 grain area, so that seems to be what people are shooting, 7-8 is probably sensible.

IBO standard is 5 gpp. I would imagine that is what they are designed for. Target bows = target arrows
