I recently went from shooting a longbow to a recurve. I normally shoot split fingers. I have arrows that should be perfect for this new bow, but they are coming out of the bow nock tail left high. Everything I have done shows the same. Just for giggles I shot the same set up 3 under. The arrows now shoot like lasers. What gives? Any one with any ideas?

How high is your nocking point? Always start with the nock high, as in say 3/4" above square. So set your arrow so it is square to the string, just eyeball it, or use a CD case held below and eyeball the gap for square, place nock point 5/8-3/4 above the top of your nock.
If you do that you get rid of bounce outs from the tail of your arrows, and you can just read spine. Once spine is good, work the arrow down to where it makes bullet holes in paper, or your eyes say it is good, flying like a dart. I like it a little above that point.

Sometimes it's your way of shooting split finger that causes the arrow to bend on vertical plane at full draw. Rick Welch explained this in one of his videos and why he went for 3 under - to eliminate the bend.

The bower said it's tinkered for split finger. Everything I tried gave me similar results. I'm Making up some stiffer test arrows just to see. Maybe this bow is just a rocket and needs stiffer arrows

Being that many recurves are lb/lb faster and more centercut than many longbows (please note I didn't say all), it makes sense that you may need a stiffer spine.

Is the center-cut the same on both bows?

Shooting split finer for whatever reason you're putting too much pressure on the arrow nock and they are bouncing.

Try putting a nock above and below arrow.

Sometimes switching from split to 3 under calls for nothing more than a nock point adjustment. Other times it can cause even more significant differences.
Since you're with 2 different bows, AND 2 different ways of placing your fingers on the string, anything short of actually readdressing state of tune is just guessing.

What woodshavins said, my 40lb. longbow takes 50lb spine arrows due to the higher performance limbs.

You didn't mention what kind of arrow or the poundage. Making stiffer arrows? Why?
Wood has a solution, but I do it different than carbon. IF your right handed and the bare shaft impacts LEFT of the fletched it's stiff.
With wood I shoot a field point and a broadhead of the same weight. If the broadhead impacts left of the field point you're stiff.
You can also use broadheads with carbon.
