I just bought this for a friend's 14 y/o son who is interested in bows and bow hunting. He came over an shot one of my bows and had a blast. She asked me to find him a bow for Christmas. I got this on the big site. It was wrapped in black electrical tape with a sight on it. Took a chance on it and hit the 10 ring. Bow will be looking like brand new in no time. I like to know what year it is. I'm guessing late 60's or early 70's. Has anyone seen this sight before?

The KT-serial number prefix was from 1970 to 1975. And all were 60".
Since your riser isn't green future wood with a blue stripe it isn't a 1973 to 1975.
The only difference I know of between a 1970 and a 1971/1972 is the riser wood. 1970 had a Pao Ferro/African Bubinga riser with a Rosewood stripe. The 1971 and 1972 had a Shedua/African Bubinga riser with a Rosewood stripe.
1970, 1971, and 1972 all had Brass or nickel silver standing bear coins, Artic Grey glass, and White Tips.
Maybe someone has more information.

X2 with Blackstick. 1971 and 1972 had stabilizer bushings. 1970 didn't, though it may have been an option. Since yours doesn't have one I'd say it's a 1970. IMO...

Blackstick is correct, it's a 1970. I'm 100% sure.

Wow, looks like Jorge even has the 1967.5 in the ultra-rare Zebrawood.
I'd like to find one some day.

As many have said, 1970. I don't have any info on the sight, but looks like you made a great find.
I have a 70 KH (also a lefty) that my nephew has been shooting for a couple of years now. It is 43# and a very good shooter. Great gesture on your behalf getting that for your friend's son - he'll love it!

I have one I bought in March of 1970. I always thought it was a 70, but must be a 69 as it has solid riser with no stripe. It has a bushing which the guy said was an add on and I paid $4.00 more for that I think.

arlone, The serial number would start with a 9 if yours is a 69. 8 if it is a 68.

Kodiak,
I looked at the 67.5 zebrawood one bought by Jorge. I put the seller and he together. There was slight checking in the grip area so I passed on it. I wanted a shooter. The check had me worried. I did buy a 65 Kodiak from the same guy.
I also put Jorge onto his long sought after 72. He owes me. I hope he reads this. ;)
