This is the Conolon Missilite that I got last week & posted as a mystery bow; thanks to George Stout and the Leatherwall I found out what it is most likely to be. 90& sure it's a Conolon after googling all the other possibilities.

Lightly refinished- cleaned up w/ isopropyl alcohol, tips cleaned then sealed with cyanoacrylite thin glue, light sanding where necessary, one coat of Tru-Oil (riser turns out to be some sort of composite brown stuff- no fine wood grain to bring out) Furniture wax, old buckskin grip from a Hill bow given a new job, crowned raised leather shelf piece for minimal contact and strike plate from an old piece of sea turtle hide torn off an old whisky flask.

No big deal, but a nice shooter good to go. Had her out Sunday (pre-finished) for a good run, worth some elbow grease. But not too much! ;-)

I don't know how to get the color right, it's actually sort of in between these two.

I thought for a minute that DAN W was gonna announce some kind of NEW archery addiction! Or "worse" some kind of unheard of tick spread malady! ( Hate those critters) Glad to see that it's a bow that is looking GOOOOD!

I picked up one off CL a couple months ago. Had no idea what it was. The profile reminds me of the 21st century bows. Mine has an almost black riser and an orangish brown glass on the belly and almost black glass on the back. Shoots ok, mine is missing the grip wrap. The pics I saw had a wrapped grip. Going to do that one of these days.

Last WEEK.. Hate this keyboard. That's a nice old dual shelf also semi-rcurve Pearson I got with the Conolon. Doesn't need anything for now. Also shoots fine.
