Good Luck everybody!! I can't get out in the morning, but I intend to spend some quality time in a brush blind in the afternoon. They're predicting mid to upper 30's here Saturday night, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some scattered frost Sunday morning. Good luck again and to everybody else that's hunting.

I'll be in Westchester county Sunday and Monday. Chenango county Following weekend. Good luck to all.

Bxrecurve15, I'm in Otsego Co, but I hunt Chenango a few times each season. A couple of my buddy's have a camp in Bainbridge.

Lost my best property here in NY this year, but enjoying exploring new ones. Eager to get at it sunday morning. Good luck to all you guys!

Sorry to hear it woodshavins. I lost a good one this year too. 500 plus acres that I've hunted for over 30 years. Sold to a real estate developer, no less.

I'm waiting till Tuesaday or Wednesday. The outside world won't be so crowded. Besides I'll be making breakfast for about 150 people at church on Sunday.

throwback I'm in Bronx county, so I do most of my hunting in Westchester. My camps in McDoughna right down the road from your buddies. Great hunting and well worth the trip. Get up almost every other weekend year round.

Throwback: Seems to be a problem here in the eastern part of the state! Can't have 3 trees in a row without someone feeling the need to flatten them for junk box houses or strip malls! Did some time driving around the central NY area this summer. A lot of beautiful land out there. Great small towns. Maybe when I retire I'll have a closer look. For now, its small woodlots and a couple huntable state parks.

Did anyone notice that the Implement Descriptions For Big Game Hunting is missing from the 2017-2018 Official NY Hunting & Trapping Guide? It is available at the official nydec site on line. bvd

Its raining, good thing to see, will keep it cooler. Luckily I missed last weeks heat wave and now its nice (and bug free) again. Leaves are green though, of dropped brown early from the ash. Hoping for an opportunity to get a shot at an early season buck here in CNY. I also got another report that the bear seen around here is still here. :D

Had frost on the punkins last 2 days here south of Buffalo. Saw a nice bear taken today by a "wheelie" acquaintance from church down near Angelica.

Scheduled for my back injections tomorrow morning so I should be ready to hit the woods in about a week to ten days. Meanwhile I'm chasing steelhead if I'm up to it. nybubba

Got my shoulder mount back from the bear that I shot in Quebec this past June. I’ve been very fortunate this year.
