I've always had a hard time seeing my arrow at 3D shoots. I decided to try making some high visibility Arrow tracers out of rabbit Zonkers for fly fishing. I got the idea from Yorktown5, except he uses Marabou feathers.

You can actually fletch arrows the same way.

Naaaah Babysaph, rabbit skin and Turkey feather (Marabou) are way more fun.

And the native people of amny parts of the world used feathers for the same way, for the same reason.

Old school and way more visible in the day time than lighted nocks. At least for me. Rabbit fur is very light and blows back. I never could tell they caused any ill effects.>>>----> Ken

Trouble is at 3D's if you stick a 10, Someone says, "aim at the pink spot". they do work and I use pink as well. No issue with flight or balance

I agree, no issue with flight. At first I thought they might hit my shelf, but the fletchings lift the arrow enough to where the hide passes right by the Shelf. I just used super glue and wrapped them tight

Baby, lighted nocks lol I use white fletch and nock. I had white zonker strips for fly tying but they be all gone. Good idea though.

I used them back in the 70's for field shooting, and have a few set up on my broadhead arrows as well. In field archery they did affect arrow speed. The arrow would drop about two inches at sixty-five yards....maybe two and a half. That was Sweetland Fur Fletch. Didn't seem to be much of an issue there either.

I have been doing the same thing for a few years. Fly tying rabbit strips work great. Really helps me see arrows when they impact target. No affect on arrow flight.

Well fwiw I don't use lighted knocks as I can see my bright wraps and feathers just fine. But I was assuming the original poster wanted to see his better. You can really see those lighted knocks well.

I use lighted nocks when hunting. I use these fur tracers for 3D and target shooting.

They tickle my nose. Can't shoot em.

Those will work for string silencers also.

Feathers make nice ones too and they're less drag.

Fur seems to keep the complete circle better than feathers for me. I could not detect any difference in flight with either but then I would have never noticed 2" at 65 yards with my shooting. Try them, they are pretty neat.>>>----> Ken
