I got a hat in the mail today from BOX CALL and I wanted to show it off. I posted the picture in this years rig thread, but wanted to say thanks again to Dan. This hat is awesome! It's well made, fits perfectly and looks good doing it. This is my new go to bowhuntin' hat. I'm sure you all know it, but we've got a good friend in Dan. Thanks buddy, I really appreciate it.

Thanks to the kindness, generosity and artistry of Boxcall, my hunting partner (the Mrs.) and I will both be sporting some very stylish headgear in the south Jersey pines this Fall.
In case there is any doubt, let it be known that Dan is THE MAN!
Thank you, Dan, and God Bless.

I like that old Treebark pattern. Nice job Dan. Also, I like your rig throwback. And esp. those camo limb sleeves. Used to have those on my Deathmaster. Is that a Western knife?

Yep, I got one of original tree bark that he made me. I sent him some old coveralls I had and he made me and my uncle one and did a give away with one. He's a great guy and has lots of "sewsmanship". ;~)

TrapperKayak, That's a 1930's Jean Case knife. My grandfather bought it new and used it for years before passing it along to me. I hadn't heard of Jean Case, so I contacted Case Knives about it a few years back and the story they told me, was that brother Jean Case went off on his own and made some knives. I don't know how many, this is the only one I've ever seen and I guess it has at least a little collector value, but it means way more to me to keep it in use.

Here's a good example of what I was talking about in the "Explanation Please" thread. I assumed that things like "my new bowhunting hat" were fine to post, because in my eyes, they pertained to bow hunting. Then I go on to talk about the knife I've used for years, while again, bowhunting. I'm obviously mistaken in this and I apologise for not keeping my posts bowhunting/archery related.
