Since finding another old Root longbow was going to be tough, I settled on a craigslist find. It's an early Howatt Mamba Hi Speed. Probably mid 50's with tan woven glass. 58" and marked 42#. Pretty little bow.

That's Eicholtz Glass. Great stuff. No torsional stability and no resistance to bending, but very strong and usable under compression.

Actually, T4, Gordons and others gave his glass a bad rap and he went out of business before 1960, I believe.
