Does anyone plan to use the new Grizzly Bruin double bevel broadheads this season? They look good. Tanto tips, according to 3 Rivers. 52 Rockwell hardness. .060" thickness for the q50 grain heads. .065" for the 175 grain heads, and .070" for the 200 grainers. Has anyone inspected them yet?

They are quite a bit different then the standard grizzly. They are exceptional heads, and the heavier you get the more bomb proof they get. I'll be shooting some this fall, probably the 150 or 175.

The tanto tip is different from the standard Grizzly. Not sure about whether the thickness is different.

Yep; looking forward to taking them to the woods.

They look nice... now that STOS are gone this looks like a great alternative to those for guys who like STOS. if there as good as the standard Grizzlies than I'll be a happy camper.

Some people find the double bevel easier to sharpen. I think it is easier to manufacture too.

They are exactly like the Wolverine head that was made along with the Grizzly back in the 1990's either by Harty Elburg or Jim Able, or both. They were discontinued at some point. TLM

Here is an original Wolverine next to an original Grizzly. I have never broke a Grizzly new or old. I broke the tips on the Wolverines. Hopefully the new Bruin is thicker in the tip. TLM

I'd like to get some to see how they mount, sharpen and fly. They look really good.

They are most certainly not the same as the old Wolverine. All new dies. They are made from 3 pieces of steel instead of 2 halfs like the standard grizzly. I don't know that they are easier to make, I believe they are just easier to sharpen.

They have three layers. One more than the single bevel Grizzlys. They are thick. The heavier heads are just as long and wide as the lighter heads, but they are thicker. For example, the 150 grain heads are .060" thick, the 175 grain heads are .065" thick, and the 200 grain heads are .070" thick.

I just got a pack last week and plan on using them for my hog arrows. They all mounted true on the adapters and sharpened up nice on my worksharp. 2 light passed on medium grit and 5 or 6 on the polishing grit.
