I haven't been here long, but I've come to think of this place as my home away from home. I've learned some things since I've been here and I've come to realize what a great bunch of people you folks are and I'd like to give a little something back too.

Ecology and Management of Large Animals in North America isn't a book on hunting, but the information in it pertains to it and covers everything from Whitetails, Mule Deer, Elk, Moose, Bears, Goats, Bison, Antelope, Caribou, Musk Ox and more, with chapters on Wolves and Mountain Lions too. 778 pages.

If you have more than a passing interest in the lives, feeding habits, breeding cycles, population parameters, behaviors etc, of the animals we hunt, you'll like this book. I've read it several times and learned a lot from it and I thought I'd pass it along to somebody here.

If you're interested, just say so and I'll draw a winner next Sunday. Good luck!

Sorry folks, I had the best of intentions, but a recent thread made me realize that this isn't archery/bowhunting related and shouldn't have been posted. I'll draw a name on Sunday and get it to the winner and it won't happen again.

Bob it is related to bow hunting, learning about the animals that provide food to us will help make us understand how they think and in turn help us with the harvest.

I don't hunt anymore or I would enter, all I can say is thank you for the very kind gesture and believe me no one would ever question this drawing......RonG
