I just got a pair of Long SF Axiom plus 36# on 25" Riser for $89 from Lancaster. This is my second pair (different weight).

They are pulling 43# @ 28 on a 17" Tradtech Galaxy with limb bolts backed out about 1 1/2 turns. I will back them out slightly more (I draw longer and want to hit about 42#).

QUIET. I got lucky at my current brace height. They are longbow quiet with no limbsavers.

I'm probably going to redneck camo paint them. Flat Black if it comes out bad. I might mask it off a little and do stripes leaving some of the white exposed.

Any one that is considering getting into ILF should pick up a pair of these limbs in a form practice weight and you might end up with hunting weight limbs too.

My other limbs are 30# and hit 35#-#38

NICE SET UP & NICE GROUP!

A lot of my students over the years have started with those. Good basic limb. Not sure how they can sell them that cheap, but I've not had a single problem with any of the ones I've bought.

I have the SF carbon-over-wood limbs and they shoot very well. Good line of products.

I have 32# @ 28 SF Axiom Plus limbs and I put them on my Satori 17 " riser which should be around 40# Limbs are turned in almost all the way. I must say these are very sluggish limbs. I was disappointed. Not trying to be difficult it's just my opinion.

Do you mean the feel? Have you weighed and Chronoed? I'm shooting the same point on as I get with my Carbon Foams. Accurate for close up as well. Here's my 15 yard smal game headshot :)

Honestly, for hunting-distance shots I have no idea why anyone would spring for high-end limbs other than they just want to.

Probably the same reason they sell so many new golf clubs, trying to buy a game.

'Feel' can be distracting. I'd rather have a good feeling grip, draw weight, 'smooth' draw and no shock at release. Then it's easier to concentrate on form. 'Better' limbs may help in that department ;-)

I love those Axiom+ limbs. I used a set of 34# longs for an experiment on making a bolt-down. Took out the ILF bushings.... Covered them with Walmart shelving paper...and it shoots great.

Have all three lengths of those limbs. I compared the shape of my longs to my old carbon foam Hoyt limbs and there was not a nickels worth of difference between the two! They draw and shoot well, you ain't going to beat them for the money

My other 'good limbs' are SF Elite Carbon Foam. They are smoother on the draw and the preload is more even. Shooting hundreds of arrows, I'd rather shoot those limbs.

This TradTech riser feels bad on the shot on my fingers. Not distracting for hunting but it keeps it from being the bow I want to shoot all the time. On a heavier metal riser, the Axiom don't annoy me at all.

Busted out the Krylon. Not too bad if you squint just right :)

Why "disposable"? No comprendo.

I've seen many of our local JOAD archers shoot blistering scores with Axiom limbs. One of the Olympic Recurve shooters routinely shoots in the 570s indoors with them. If I was in the market for wood core glass limbs, they'd be my first choice.

Yankee,

If they get scratched, I won't cry. I'll TRY not to trash them though

Don't let the 'secret' out! I have a set on my Spig BB riser; love them.

On this TradTech riser, they feel good down around 41-42#. Looks better too :) shooting off the shelf with Velcro.

Ok I admit I was wrong about these limbs. I put them on my 23" Excel riser and weighed them on the bathroom scale, 34# at 28. These are 32# limbs so that seems right. With my short draw I am only drawing about 31#, and I am using arrows a little too stiff. With that said it flings arrows pretty good. I am still dissapointed how they felt on the 17" Satori riser but that's not the limbs fault.

You might have just accidentally hit a particularly bad brace height on the Satori
