Built this bow a few years back, had loaned it out and recently got it back. Reworked the limb timing on it a little and put a new suede grip on it. Thanks to Steve Turay of Northern Mist Longbows for telling me how he does the stitchless grips! With the blonde riser and black glass, named her "Dark Honey"

OK....how do you and Steve do stitchless grip? Looks very neat.

I cut the leather for the width I want (shelf to bottom) and then cut the length maybe a 1/2" long. Put contact cement on the bow and the leather (usually draw lines on the bow a hair short of where the leather will go) On the leather I don't glue all of it, leave it about an inch short. After the contact cement is ready, carefully align the edge of the leather with the center of the back of the bow and start wrapping it around. Overlap the edge and mark it a little long, then cut it off. Glue the rest of the leather and when ready, tuck the edge of the leather into the edge already on the bow and press the rest down. Making it a little long insures the joint or seam is tight and clean. Thanks again to Steve Turay for sharing this...beats the hell out of skiving that edge and looks better.

I really like the look of a maple riser and black glass, gives it a 50's/60's look. If I had some smooth blonde leather, would've looked even better.

I like that seamless look on your grip.
