Gentlefolk?...this utoob video I stumbled upon is over a year old so some of you may have already seen it but this morning?...it was a first for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it as?... 1. Even though it's recorded in languages (and captions) that are foreign and unknown to me?...it soundly held my attention proving once again that the love for "All Forms" of archery transcends even language barriers. 2. It showcases both the exacting accuracy of Olympic style archery along with a strong nod of the head to what can be achieved with more traditional gear. Both archers gave amazing performances where when challenged with shooting rings randomly dropped from unseen locations and?...as viewed against what was a visually mind boggling backdrop?....both archers nearly folded at the start of things but then both gained their composure...gamed it out...and went on to adapt to what were some rather stunningly impressive finishes. Unfortunately?...you will have to "Skip Ad" a couple times to view the video in it's entirety but I found it extremely worthwhile and entertaining to do so...here's the vid...hope you enjoy! :)
The Austrian is clearly influenced by Brian F. While technically a very fine shot, he doesn't peg the bad@$$ meter like Ferguson, primarily because he doesn't have Ferguson American charisma and swagger. lol The Korean dude was out of his element on the dropped hoops. If he shot instinctive he likely be a very fine shot in short order. Asians and 'suck' go together about like oil and water.
There is a condensed version of that shoot out, in English, or else those two met another time on a show like that. Very interesting. I thought he would do better if he drew before the drop like she did. Ken >>>--->
Those were difficult shots for anyone, but I continually wonder WHY Ferguson and Peter O. try to emulate Howard. Peter looks good on his own video's where he can edit the film, but certainly looked like an amateur in this one. He short drew several shots. I saw Ferguson on the Tonight Show with Leno many years ago and he didn't look any too sharp either, with out an edit button.
