I received my new yew longbow yesterday! It is an english style longbow, shot off the hand. I made a suede glove to shoot off. The bow is 40# at my draw and shoots my self nock bamboo shafts quite well!

I like it. the old English style off the hand are nice. when one thinks of archery that is were it started for me.

Hell yeah a real bow for once.Awesome.I am envious.I just love the simple honest bent stick technology.I don't mean that in a derogatory way either.Good Yew for me is hard to get and expensive too.I love all bows but yew self bows just do it for me.Thank you for posting OSR

the bowyer is Michael Angelo La BraQue, in Washington. his website is itsyourbow.com He is very responsive, fast and reasonably priced. He posts a video of making your bow so you can see the process. Really cool!

Julia, A nice looking bow. I went to his website and he's less than an hour from me. I may have to check out his offerings. You inspired me to get out my Yew today and warm it up for my first shot a little later in the day. Thank you for sharing. Lance.
