What are the rules for using generators in the camping area at Denton?

Use is ok but off by 10:00 I think. Widow

What Darren said. The quiet time is listed on their site under ETAR. archeryfestivals.com/

I think I said this here before, but it bears repeating...

Please be very careful with the placement of your generators, and those of campers around you. Do a walk-around at least once a day and make sure no exhaust is blowing into a tent or camper. A buddy of mine and his family were at a Nascar gig in a crowded camping situation not unlike Etar. They almost died because a neighboring camper put a generator behind their camper trailer and enough of its exhaust flowed through their vent to fill their camper. He passed out, she made it to the door, opened it, and got help to get everyone out. In the end, they were all ok, but it could have ended much worse. Just something worth thinking about that maybe you normally wouldn't think about.

I'm OK with the people who need one for their CPAP machines but to sit in A/C and watch TV is beyond the pale in a camping atmosphere. I think they should be isolated from the others.

I think they should be banned. Too noisy. CPap machines are used at night so everyone else would have to listen to it all night.

They ran all night at Compton's...didn't seem to bother me too much. I just chalk it up to normal sounds of a big festival style camp gathering.

I think a separate area for them is good. If you don't use one but want that area it is your choice. The darn things can be a bother all night.

It is what it is. If you don't like generator noise till 10PM, then move away from that area and up the hill where you normally won't find any. Most of the campers with generators will be on the flat(er) area near the lower roads. I've camped in there and never had an issue with generator noise. If it's 90% with a dew point of 75 I'll be the first one to find an air conditioned spot to cool off in.

I don't run a generator on my camper but have camped around people that did.

A lot of the aggravation stems from the kind of generator used, Honda's and a few other high end generators are quiet, not so with the others.

I have camped alongside a generator that was being run with no muffler. When that thing ran out of gas in the middle of the night everyone in the campground responded with a huge collective cheer.

The inconsiderate people who cause noise disturbances in campgrounds could probably sleep naked on a pile of sharp rocks in a hail storm and assume everyone else sleeps as soundly as they do.

I absolutely love tent camping.

I absolutely hate doing it in a campground.

between the generators, dogs, drunks, and uncontrolled kids I'd as soon stay home or go to a motel.

Humans are an inconsiderate obnoxious bunch.

Dislike campers and RVs.To add salt to the wound are the generators that have a whistle to signal they are low on fuel!

CPAP machines and a small 8" fan will easily run off a 12 volt and inverter for a complete night. Then you can spend $150 on a solar panel to charge it daily. My very good friend does that at every event and it works just fine. I have a tiny tin tent and use a 750 watt inverter to run a fan if its hot. Otherwise its as silent as a tent around me.

I hate generators at events and usually make it known if need be. It's obnoxious and annoying at every level. I just keep a cup of sand handy :)Lets face it, sleep is usually at a premium at archery gatherings. Why should what we get be wasted on generator noise?

Think I'll go to the top were the lift used to stop and bivy. Nice and quiet
