My shooting buddy just scored a Bear 76 takedown in excellent shape for $25.00. Seller had it listed in wrong place on auction site and no reserve. Seller was not happy. Only one bid. Did he get a deal or what? sig9

I bought several ~2005-10 for fishing bows at <$50 each.Personally I'd never pay more than that for a 76er or a Minutemen BUT recently they seem to have surged in popularity and Ive seen mint ones around $125.

They are good quiet bow, a few years ago I bought one same color and draw weight as the one I had as a kid. I killed a turkey with it, had much better high end bows to choose from, but wanted to do something with a bow that I didn't know I could do with it as a kid! I plan on killing a deer with it one of these years too! He got a good deal, but don't expect it to even keep up with the likes of say a Sammick Sage as far as performance! Great bow fishing bow too as mentioned! I love mine, mostly for sentimental reasons, don't really shoot it almost ever because it's way too short for my draw length!

There was a nice one at the swap meet recently for $85, and the seller was firm. It was still there all weekend.
I'd give that for a 45-50# Minuteman, but not much more than $25 for a 76'er unless it's extra special in a nice weight...just me I guess.

I thought they were worth more than that. He bid on it cause his Dad had one when he was young and he ended up losing it through the years somewhere. At least he didn't get burned on it. sig9

They were $25 new. He got a steal. They are a good bow and a good performer if you look beyond speed. They probably were the best solid glass limbed bow ever made. They have a great riser, a selection of grips you can find at auction, and they shoot well.
