My Wife decided that a new-to-me bow would make an excellent Father's Day gift. It's been a few years since I bought any bows as the ones I have cover all my bases. Then, right before Father's Day, camodave made available for sale a 1956 Bear Polar with dual shelves, in original condition. It just so happens I've had an eye out for such a bow. So, right now, that bow is in one of our USPS Jeeps, making it's rounds and I'm pretty stoked just waiting. I know when the Mail Carrier comes to the door, Rocky the Cat will come flying down into the rec room to let me know it's here. It's gonna be in the 90's today, so I'll probably just try it out in my indoor/outdoor garage range. "Waiting is such sweet sorrow" or something like that. Is anyone else like a 12 yr old when it comes to waiting for a new-to-you bow?

Yes! Though it's been awhile ...'bout a moth or so, but I remember the feeling. Hummm...might be about time again, now that I think of it!

I don't buy many, but I build quite a few. I get that same exact feeling after picking a stave out of my stock. I CANT wait to get it bending and shooting arrows. I get OCD about it and don't rest much until its done.

Yes, I too become a 12 year old when there is something in route to my door! It's a great feeling!

Since I retired I can't afford to be a 12 yr. old very often but it is fun. sig9
