What is the scoring system used¿

From: WarDancer Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 29-Jun-17

Having a super seniors class for us old,old men is great, now we just have to recruit youngsters to pull arrows and carry oxygen tanks. Bill

From: MedicineMan

Bentstick, unless something has changed, it's always been 5 for kill and 2 for wound.

What are the distances?

From: WarDancer Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 30-Jun-17

From: Ric O'Shay
Date: 01-Jul-17

The distances are generally a good hunting range with lots of trees and brush to make you think about your shot before you take it.

I can shoot in the seniors class and will if I can slip away from the trailer for a while. Terry

Just a few days out!!

From: WarDancer Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 05-Jul-17

shilo, how many venders are you expecting and what kind.

From: MedicineMan
Date: 06-Jul-17

I honestly don't know for sure how many will be set up.

I know Terry is bringing the Nocking Point trailer, couple different arrow makers should be there, along with a couple bowyers. We don't really have a vender sign-up list since we don't charge for them to set up, so every year you can't ever tell who may show up for it!

Man oh Man, those Okla.boys and gals know how to put on a shoot, it was great. THANK YOU THANK YOU for all your hard work. My first time but not my last. Great course, great food, and great hospitality. Bill Ward

Thanks to Terry, Danny and Bill T for letting me hang out with you Guys. I had a great time. Bill

From: MedicineMan
Date: 10-Jul-17

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the shoot and helped in making it one of the most successful shoots to date!! We had a great turnout on both days, lots of good food from fish to fried pies, and homemade ice cream, and even some pretty decent weather for this time of the year in our part of the country.

Hope everyone who made it enjoyed there time at the range and can make it back out next year!

From: Oak

What was a "decent" score at the shoot? Say top 5% type score?

From: WarDancer Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 11-Jul-17

about 230 and up, 270 might have been the best score or real close.

From: MedicineMan
Date: 11-Jul-17

277 was high score, followed by 270. There were a few in the 250's, quite a few in the 240's & 230's and they trickled down from there.

It was a tough setup this year. There wasn't any shots that were covered up in brush, but lots of between trees and over limbs.

From: Ovilla Bill
Date: 12-Jul-17

A great shoot. High in the Super Senior class(70 plus) was G.W. Flanagan with a 245. Danny Long was 2nd. with a 237. Not sure about 3rd place score. Loved the set-up. A fair but challenging course for most. Can't beat the hospitality.
