Hi Guys, I just completed my latest longbow. Timbers used are jarrah in the riser and limb laminations of Tasmanian blackwood between clear(ish) ULS glass. The decorative riser inlays have been created by me in copper, using a jewellery/goldsmithing technique called Repousse'. Wings of various shapes and sizes are one of my favorite subject matters - it was never going to take long before one of my bows grew it's own pair! The bow shoots very nicely - super smooth, quiet, and no discernable handshock through the heavy 18" riser. Thankyou for looking!!! Darren

You should be very happy w/ this bow. Very nice and the copper looks great. How long did you make it? The leather looks good next to the copper. Did you inlay the copper?

Thanks,Bowbaker! Douglas, you just reminded me I meant to add some more images - I'm on it! This bow is 68" and 57@28". I did inlay the copper mate. I carved out the recesses by hand and used the same Techniglue epoxy I used for the lams to securely install each inlay into position. Some more images......
