Picked up a bow at a local auction this week. It is Staghorn recurve handcrafted by Bill Pyle in 1964 in Merrill, WI Bill based his operation in Merrill in 1957 and continued making bows till 1982. Staghorns are known for their speed, beauty, and reliability Bill made mostly hunter models in lengths of 56,60,62 and 64 inches. When he found the time he also designed and crafted awesome target bows. The bow I won at the auction is one of his beautiful zebra wood creations.... a Staghorn Special 62 in. 38#
