It's definitely to crappy to be out shooting, a bow. Windy ,rain, rain, and more rain. This will get the mushrooms a popin. I'm going to just stay inside and work on a buddy's arrows :-) JF

We are on the back side of that storm system. Yesterday upper 70's today snow flurries in the Texas panhandle. Back in February it was in the 90's. Crazy weather. Makes the wifes taco soup taste even better!

It came through Mississippi yesterday.....lots of damage from high winds and several tornadoes. Some of the hard hit areas in path of tornadoes had winds in excess of 80-100mph. Rotation clouds passed over my small town but only minor damage. Lots of damage and fatalities in its path across the states. Stay safe....prayers with everyone in its path. Marsha

Severe, abrupt front just came over me at 2:50 pm. I was out in the yard putting down insecticide for ticks with the broadcast spreader. I knew it was coming, in fact, raced it home and stayed out there as it loomed overhead to get the final passes down.

I've never been outside when something like that hit before. I heard it come, and it seemed to come in an instant, it was very violent and sounded like a freight train and I saw this big white mass go over, low, and by me in seconds. Then the roar doubled in volume. I ran into the wind, fought to get back to the garage just as my garbage can, one of them big heavy ones the truck lifts up and dumps, blew by me like a shopping bag. Saw the neighbor's 'stuff' blowing my way too so I ran in the house... soaking wet. No electricity.

Imagine all those critters out there with nowhere to hide.

Hope this rain makes the shrooms grow.

My old back injury started aching as this front approached. It was intense as Jeff described. I was at the Stihl dealer when it hit. So, I just waited it out. A tornado was seen about 15 miles away.

I found about 8 morels this morning while turkey hunting. Hopefully this rain will grow more for us. Now we have flood warnings.
