when I bought this on eBay a couple of months ago it was covered in thick black paint. All I knew it was a 50's style LH recurve. When I removed the paint I was surprised to see how nice the wood was. It was a lot of work but, I think the finished product was worth every minute I put into it. This is my third refinish bow. BTW it shoots pretty good too!

That's a nice looking bow. I don't understand why someone would want to cover that up with ugly black paint. The natural wood tone is better Camo anyway.

Nice bow but it looks like you have a very high brace height like the string is too short.

Never found out who made it. A friend thinks it may have been a kit bow. The skins are fakes from 3River. Not sure why it looks twisted in the picture, the limbs are straight. I started at 7 1/4" brace height but seemed to smooth out at 8". Shot it through a chrono average 3 shots of 144 at my 26" draw.

If you were out in the bush, away from civilization, and you found that bow, it would be like manna from heaven. Good score and good job on the redo.
