About 30 minutes ago, USPS delivered my very first Vintage bow and very first one piece bow (I'm a takedown kinda guy).

It is a Wing Archery Swift Wing 24#@28 66" SN: SA444.

Overall, it's in good condition (straight limbs, draws smooth, etc.). I will just have to send the bow in for refinishing because there is a small area on the riser that the finish is gone and is down to the wood. Also, gotta get a new string.

The handle feels exactly like my other Bob Lee bows.

Very nice bow. I'm a huge fan of vintage Wing bows.

Enjoy.

That sight mount is a Reynolds base and was popular about the same time that bow came out. There was an aluminum bar that slid into it that held the aperture. Love those old Wing recurves.

Nice, congrats!

Thanks all and a special thanks to you George. Now I can see if I can find that aluminum bar. I have another sight similar but longer with 3 pins. I was thinking about using double sided tape or velcro to mount it.

Legato, I found the slide you need in my archery stash. You'll still need the aperture but will have the slide. If you want it send me your address in a pm and I'll mail it to you.

You may want to lightly sand that area and wipe on some Truoil. Put on a few coats then sand lightly and buff it with rubbing compound. It might surprise you how well it will look.

Good looking bow. Congrats on the buy. I just bought an early sixties Ventura that needs finish on the riser. It will be a looker with some new finish on it. It will be vintage bow maybe number 80 for me and I still get excited every time I buy one.

Bob Lee addict for sure. Fits me like a glove. Aside from that one of the main reasons Bob Lees are my go to bows is because the quality and customer service.

Nice, what took you so long.

Lol. Haven't really seen a vintage I'm so crazy about and like takedowns. I love the looks of one piece bows but I like the ability to swap limbs as opposed to swapping bows. Plus, I can buy limbs without catching too much attention from my wife.

Gosh, my problem is i like all vintage wood 1 piecers and I quit worrying about the wife long ago.
