hey guys, got a new to me A&H ACS 64" long, 45# @ 28, I draw 30 1/4" I have never been able to bare shaft very good. I am trying 31" Beman centershot 500 spine 31" with 50 gr brass insert and 125 grain broadhead. I am getting a super bad nock high with each shot. Any suggestions ? I really wanted to get this one right, any help would be great.

Thanks again, Gary

Are you grouping left, right, center? So about 52 lbs at your draw?

Am I reading broadhead tips? Not sure if it's possible to bareshaft?

My first impression is you are underspined maybe a 400 spine with 150 or so but it's just a guess without knowing where your arrows are grouping

Your shaft is way too weak. You need a .400 spine shaft because of the heavy tip weight, your long draw length, and an ACS is a fast bow.

Thanks forthe replies, arrows are grouping at 5 o'clock, so just alittle low and to the right with field tips

No doubt weak with that high performance bow and that long of a shaft. I would go to a 31.5" .400 and you will still need a lot of point weight. You can try the 175 up front but 225 may be perfect. You are drawing at least 52#s and I know those bows will stack a bit depending on the draw they were built for. The .500 would be an OK choice but it has to be a bit to long for it too work. Shawn

I have the same bow but mine is 66in we shot similar poundage. I'm shooting 400s right now with 150s and it shooting right on for me. I'm might go to 340s have not decided yet I just got mine new two weeks ago. It is fast and I'm still in the fine tuning stage but the 400s are shot great for me. I would not go any higher than 175s if you want more weight up front the 340s are proply yours arrow.
