Arrow advice for beginners

KEEP IT SIMPLE. When in doubt...500's with feathers and a 150 grain point and WEAR THEM OUT. You don't need high FOC, you don't need high GPP.

I just pulled some arrows (lengths from 28"-32"Carbon, Aluminum, Cedar) from my junk bucket and randomly grabbed points ranging from 75 to 250 grains and casually shot them from 15 yards off the shelf from my 50's Herters.

The only arrows outside of a 5" group were a 70# Cedar and a BAREFLETCHED 300 with a 250 grain point (it flew crazy but still hit (bottom right in the pic.

ARROWS MATTER. You just need something that isn't extremely off.
