Got my widow paid for today.Dont h ave alot of money but I sold a bow and Im installing a hvac system for my ole pastor from church this weekend. Already got paid for that so today I xalled and made the full payment to Roger at BW.He said 4 weeks since the limbs are alr e ady in stock they are making the riser. Needless to say im excited and its the most expensive widow Ive ever bought.I will have 3 now. This is my birtgday to me which is april 15. BW started 7n 57 and I was born in 57 so I thought that was nwat. And my last widow I got from j u spassin on here is dated as being made 4 of 15 kinda cool.

Congrats!! I also am paying off one tomorrow for a great seller here on the leatherwall. My second. Had to sell off a few bows myself. I just have to stop trying other bows now. I always come back to widows. I just shoot them the best. And the boys at the shop are so first class guys to deal with. I'm finally done thinking I can do better. Lol. I'm a widow man for life.

Seems we're on the same page crow I have about a two week wait at this point and have two plx's great bows. I'm getting the pa 3 I wanted a nice recurve, not that my bear sktd is not, just wanted a one piece. My bday is April 23. Sold some stuff to subsidize my new bow as well. There was a time where I wanted a lot of hunting gear so I worked like almost every weekend to purchase stuff now I just trade and work an occasional weekend. Anyway have fun with your new one.

I always wonder when I see these types of threads, "what will a fourth Widow do that the first three don't".

Yea, I know, I am an old stick in the mud, it is just my antiquated thought process.

I make my own bows for free and gasp at what people are paying for bow nowadays.

To the OP, congrats. Bill

Collecting and shooting bows is a very respectable hobby. They are like artwork and besides that you can shoot and use them. And you get all kinds of good clean quiet fun out of them.

Good for you Crow. Hope you enjoy it. I get excited over my old bows I come by. Life is short.

Congrats, I am happy for you. You BW fellows sure make sweet fuss over your bows. Maybe some day I will get a chance to shoot one and find out for my self what all the fuss is about. Enjoy your new bow.

Eric I get the point about not really needing more than 1 but for me I wanted a exact duplicate of mine. When I found one that was exact specs as mine and Ironwood I had to get it. Lol. I used to keep my widow for deer only to help keep it like new but I wanna use the same bow for everything, to stay with the "be aware of the man with one bow" saying. Nice to have a backup. Idk why I've never needed a back up but I just feel better having one. lol. I can stock pile arrows also and strings and not have to tune arrows for differant bows. Idk I have a little ocd about hunting gear. Lol.

You won't be sorry, my only problem with Black Widow was getting the right grip! For me its the low grip. I just got a PMAII with 62" limbs 37#@28. I just really love the bow.

Congratulations on the bow Crow, I've always wanted to try one of their takedown recurves but never seem to have the money. I'd like to just shoot one to see if I like it. Congrats again and happy birthday.

I have shot the same bow since 85. Will use it til I die. My vice is guitars. Have owned over 100 of them and some would buy several widows. Enjoy the widow. We are going this way only once.

We get the point, Crow. :^)

I've owned four Black Widow recurves over the years. All of them were really nice. One was an ironwood. My favorite was an Ironwood. Why I let that one go, I'll never know. Regretted it ever since.
