You may have a problem finding your arrow if you miss the target. LOL

Just another day in Michigan! Don't want to miss your backstop though. It will be awhile before you find your arrows.

It does make a nice little hole to see the entry. Of course it may travel twenty yards under the snow. Here in Bedford County we got only about ten inches of snow, east of the mountains they are piling it up though. My brother lives a hundred miles east of me and said they had 15" and still snowing a good rate, and that was around 10:30.

I think we got that here in Seattle, but in a much more liquid form. Lance.

By the way, I have shot in deep snow and it's definitely a challenge sometimes.

That looks just like my yard and it hasn't snowed for 10 days. We got hit with snow the 9th of december and it just never went away…really sucks for shooting, glad I have a big shop!

I see that as an opportunity to make and shoot cheap 3d animals :)

Drove from Albany to Cleveland in it last night. Trying to catch a flight to my son's graduation from AIT. Worst drive I've ever done. Have heart guys. In a month we'll be shooting 3D in our T-shirts;-)

Looks like just another day here in Minnesota, at least 4 - 5 months out of the year... teaches you the importance of hitting your target, hard to find those misses that submarine below the snow. Great picture Deno & love the caption gluetrap :>)

We have over a foot and expecting another 16-20"s so about 30"s. I have been out twice to snow blow and clear. Gotta head out again as it is now snowing 3-4"s an hour. Shawn

That's a little high, but I'm finding the snow on top alters my range estimation.

UH OH! The arrow is my second shot. See that little hole in the snow on the back, a little up and to the right of the arrow?

I tried to estimate the flight path and am scoring the snow with an old carbon shaft, to possibly connect with my arrow. It didn't work and found the arrow the next week, laying on top of the ground.

Deno,

Get some snowshoes, gaiters and your feet will stay warmer. I'm using 12X42 wood frame shoes, rewoven with 1/8" nylon cord, under the foot, and 1/4" nylon webbing for the toe and heel areas.

Bill I was in the Infantry in Alaska. Trekked all over Alaska with those oversized tennis rackets. Every small branch knocks ya on your tail, not to mention up and down hills with a 100 ruck with skiis and rifle with temps down to -60 at Big Delta...lol The hunting was amazing btw.

Seriously tho, I've been meaning to get a pair for winter roves. I do have gators. My feet were actually warm.

Enjoyed your pics Deno
