Has anyone used the Smithsworks blinds?? Check them out at www.smithworksoutdoors.com I can get a great buy on the blind and the platform but I would like to hear from someone who has used or seen them!! They get great reviews but again I want first hand knowledge!! Thanks! Shawn

You can stand easily, not really worried about which bow too shoot out of it. I hunt with both and I have a spot that I believe this type of blind will allow me to kill some good bucks. I just cannot afford 99% of the elevated box blinds, most start at well above $800 and that is with out the elevated platform. I have found a way to get the blind and a 10ft elevated platform for $450 shipped!! Thanks! Shawn

I've seen the setups that Kevin mentioned and they looked like they would work just as well and a lot cheaper. But then I'm cheap Shawn, everyone knows that. 8^)

It's just a box blind, what is supposed to be special about it out of curiosity?
As for size, 4'x4' is the normal size.

Ive seen bracket sets with plans for 2x4s to build your own platform for existing blinds.You supply the blind and the 2x4s.

portable blind/cabin deer will walk all around it. soak the wood with saltwater and they will lick on it lol.

Actually look into the costs. I need something I can get in the air as the farmer does not want ground blinds as they leave a foot print. This would be out in a field of Alfalfa or clover or whatever he plants. I have stands all around the field edges but these deer are bedded right on top of this piece. I need to place something int the middle of the field and let them get used to it. None of the options above would work and as I said I am fairly cheap as well but even the cheap box blinds end up well over a grand. I cannot have something that weighs 4 or 5 hundred pound either as I have to be able to move it quickly to please the farmer. Shawn

shawn you could build a platform and use you own ground blind a lot cheaper. I would go the ladder stand and cover for about 200.00 at the most.

well try the mirror blinds or ghost blind and move wherever needed. easy to carry in and out.

Build a 4x4 box blind on elevated legs. You can most likely do it for $150.00.
We've been using essentially the same ones on our deer lease in Runnells County Texas for nearly 10 years. Just slap a good coat of outdoor paint on 'em when thay need it.
