I am looking for a 280-ish grain setup for a 35# ILF. I can shoot 600 Goldtips with a 100 grn point with it but it's a bit over 10gpp and I want to be able to shoot it roughly the same as my 45#.

I don't want the arrows to get any skinnier than they have to be..... I was looking at the Entrada. What are the chances that I can shoot Entrada 600 the same length as my Traditional 600?

They don't have Entrada on the 3Rivers Calc.

A 29" 600 Entrada is 165.3grn + fletching, inserts and 100grn point puts me at the right weight.

Any other arrows I should know about?

Not really my forte but what about Easton X-10's or the 5mm Axis shaft's ?

Easton carbon one 660 spine about 6.6 gpp or apolo 670 spine about 7.7 gpp

I guess this is a good time for me to learn to fletch!

With all the variables of bow performance, setup and string material, finding an arrow with the exact length, overall weight and spine might require a lot of trial and error. I suspect the 600 spine arrows are going to be too weak.

You could easily shoot a .700 spine but you are not gonna get much lighter then 5.7 gpi maybe 5.2 but you will pay a premium price for those. Shawn

Ordered some Entrada 600 full length (30"). I'm sure I can get them to work. Will be nice to shoot that bow without compensating.

One person agreed and three of us recommended weaker spined arrows. You will have to return and tell us what worked.

One set of my arrows on my 45# are 30". The 600's I have bareshafted on the 35# are 29" with 100grn.

My thinking is that at the worst, I'd end up with 30" with 125grn and I'd still be in the weight range and it would point similar to my 45#. All of my arrow setups are a little stiffer than many people here and it must be something with my technique

Just double checked the bareshaft....

I'm shooting GT Entradas .600 30.5" L with 100 gr points out of a 36# target bow. They weigh 297 gr. and fly very fast and flat.

I shoot Carbon Express Predators 800 spine, 80gr point, 30" long, that weigh 275gr with three 4" feathers. They fly fine out of a 36# ILF bow with magnetic rest and plunger.

I've also used Predator 700, 28.5" with 46gr half-outserts and 60gr points, total weight 302grs with three 4" feathers out of the same 36# ILF bow.

My finished 29 1/2 Entrada 600s with 4 inch fletch and 100grn field point weigh 315 grns. The older ones are 5.7 and the new ones are 5.9

Hmmm.....

Still says 5.7gpi on their website. It says the OD is .280" vs the 600 Traditional at .296" and the Trad 500 is .297

The 600 Traditional is listed as 7.8 gpi

I shoot 600 spine trad blems, 600 entrada's, and 600 Warrior arrows, all from GT. The Entrada's and Warriors shoot the same place, a little higher than the trad blems. The Warriors are cheap and fly as well as the other 2. What you are wanting to do worked for me.

I hadn't seen the "Warriors". Looks like a good option and a little cheaper

JustSomeDude When you shoot like that, you have got it. I always find your thoughts to be right on. Don't let any one tell you different. I enjoyed the PM'S >>>----> Ken

I just wish I could ALWAYS shoot like that.....well, that would be boring. But if I could mostly shoot like that ....

I've been shooting the Warriors 600 for over a year at 325 grains. That's with a 125 gr point. Last week I got some Warriors 700 and they shoot good at around 315 gr total weight. I'm shooting a trad tech II 40 # limbs. I draw 27.5 and cut my arrows 28.5. This is my 3D setup.

The newer ones I bought, I believe last year, have have different graphics than the older ones. That might be the difference in weight.

Got them in the mail and fletched one up and also shot bare shaft. 30" Entrada 600 with a 100 grn point and 3 4" parabolic weighs 319.5 grn.

They show weak with bare shaft. Will try 75 grn points but will likely cut down to 29" as well. At the moment they are still over 9 gpp but shoot very nicely. If I didn't check the bare shaft, you would think they were fine watching flight and grouping.
