I just was on the Hoyt website. It appears that they no longer make the Buffalo and similar recurves. Rather they are offering a single riser in three sizes and then a variety of limbs. Is this true or have I missed something here?

The Dorado, GameMaster II, Tiburon and Buffalo were discontinued in September of 2016.

Been discussed here several times over the past few weeks. The Satori is the riser that is offered now. I like that myself, no proprietary limb system, and you really aren't losing anything over the Buffalo. Sometimes....most times simpler is better.

Yeah, I tried a search here first here before posting. I also since called the local dealer and got the whole story. I still say too bad and the dealer feels the same. Life is choices. That said, I am anxious to try the new. Currently shoot a Buffalo as my go to bow.

Hoyt changes their bow models much like people change their underwear.

Search keyword "Satori" and you should get three separate, recent threads on the subject.

It's actually 4 different bows. %8,60.62, and 64" with the Satori limbs. And as was mentioned, the ability add any ILF limb, Hoyt or not to make virtually any length, and or draw weight that a person could want.

And, you can make all the bows, with the same riser, grip, so the bow feels and points the same every time.

What's not to like?
