Just raised a small area of glass on back of lower limb, heard it creak so caught it right away. I've researched the threads here. It certainly looks repairable. One question, many of the threads say to inject the Loctite then clamp and let it sit a few days. Won't my cabinet clamp stick to any glue that wicks out? Do you use saran wrap or wax paper between clamp and limb? Thanks LW

Yes use a little piece of waxy plastic. It'll come right off. I wood also mask the glass edge to edge. Then plastic. Use a good masking tape. The green Autobody painters tape. JF

I doubt that Loctite 420 is the best product Loctite makes for fixing a limb separation. I would suggest more research.

Epoxy is the glue bows are built with as it has good adhesion and some flex.

Yes, but epoxy won't wick down into the very end of a splinter or crack like thin viscocity superglue will.

Epoxy can be thinned by warming. Versa Mend is a thin epoxy.

Wicking qualities are important for best results and depending on the damage small form block should be made. For a tiny splits Saran Wrap and rubber bands from bicycle inner tubes work at times too.Not much work time with CA. OSR
