I was shooting gold tip 500s and used a 2219 aluminum shafts for the front and back end footing. They were perfect and really made a bomb proof arrow or at least boom proof as I can get.I have switched to 400s and need to find the correct aluminum shaft for footing them.Anyone know the correct size? Thanks for any help,Frank.

Have you tried those 2219's yet? I have both sizes of shafts and seem to remember using the same size footings.

On GT Trads 2217 for 500's and 2219's for 400's. I got some 400 blems that the 2219's were very tight but the 2216's were too big. But most of the time 2219's fit the 400's perfect.

Ive tried the 2219 on the 400s which are blems from Big Jim. They just dont fit, there a fuzz too small. The 2219 are the green gamegetters. There very close but no cigar. Maybe the xx75s would work. Ill have to find one and try it. Thanks for the feedback,Frank.

diameter of the 300 shaft minus the wall thickness of the aluminum shafts with the 64th's to thousands=your footing needs.

2216 is what ya need and it will work for both, the difference is like 1/64" of an inch. Scooby

I just checked this with some pieces of broken arrows. I think the 2219 fits the best with no slop. MP
